This strong, thick, substantial yet relatively light T-shaped Inca copper alloy bronze ax has considerable wear on one side. Scholars describe these pieces as a classic weapon of the Inca Empire centered in Cuzco, Peru. Bronze ax heads were a very valuable and versatile tool. Their wide T-like top made them tight and durable when secured to a thick wooden handle and their strength and thickness also made them a very useful chopping and digging tool. This one has a fine patina and is very worn on one side attesting to its age and use. It has no restorations or repairs.

The Fulani people favored many kinds of body ornaments, among the most traditional being bracelets and anklets in a horseshoe shape with flared decorative ends. Bracelets and anklets were ideal currency that was wearable, easily portable and readily available for purchases, especially for nomadic people. This finely-crafted, heavy and massive antique U-shaped example was created using the lost wax method and elaborately designed with intertwined twisted strands and 11 faceted ends incised with circle and diamond designs. It is in excellent condition, has a fine patina and minor pitting, scrapes and fading consistent with its age and use and comes with a wood and metal stand.

This finely cast antique recumbent miniature statue with finely articulated features portrays Nandi decorated with jewels and sitting recumbent on a high-tiered throne. Waiting to serve his Lord Shiva and kneeling in reverence and worship, Nandi is a symbol of purity and strength. Small figurines like this were placed on home shrines with other deities and items of significance to the family. Made using lost wax casting method whose mold is destroyed after use, it is a one-of-a-kind piece in very good condition with casting and plating flaws in the rear and a surface scratch and minor plating loss on the back left side.

This 18th-century antique hand-made metal 7-level stupa/pagoda was made in Nepal and was purchased in the 1970s in Kathmandu. This fine example has decorative details around the base and two of the round eaves have scalloped edges. It was used for personal devotion on a home altar or shrine. Antique Buddhist items are now extremely scarce in Nepal.

This small antique brass Nandi is well-proportioned, exquisitely handcrafted and has a wonderfully aged patina. He sits recumbent on a raised rectangular platform. Delicately incised with decorative details delineating the head, neck, snout and body, his right leg and tail are sinuous, graceful ornaments rather than defining features. His head is at a 45-degree with lyrically curved horns in contrast to most versions with horns extending backwards. This Nandi is based on a South Indian cow whose humpback is emphasized here by two parallel lines covering it as if is part of a saddle or another ornament feature.

Each African region fabricated its own variety of manillas that were typically horseshoe or C-shaped with a ball or flare at the ends with added pieces of metal to the body or plain open ends Ranging from thin delicate shapes to heavy massive pieces, they were embellished with designs of deeply carved lines forming parallel ridges, stamped or incised geometric forms, and other motifs. This delicate antique Fulani C-shape solid metal bracelet was made with deeply cut parallel ridges over most of its surface which elicits the effects of twisted metal pieces. The top is centered with an extended flat topped boss/knob centered at the top and unlike many manillas has flat ends. With a fine patina it is a beautiful piece in excellent condition with wear scratches and discolorations consistent with its age and use. It comes with a wood and metal stand.
