Description

This fanciful painting was inspired by something near and dear to the artist—Lark’s pet Pomeranian named Bella—and provides another insight into the life and mind of Lark in her creative process. Recently completed, Lark started this undertaking with a spontaneous sense of joyful invigorating energy, but did not want to make into another abstract landscape. Staring at the canvas, she felt a strong intuitive directive to make it a portrait of Bella.

The dog makes her appearance scrunched on the bottom left corner of the painting, her cheerful face highlighted by intense splashes of reds, pinks, greens and blues which cover most of the canvas. Crediting Bella for the inspiration, Lark titled the artwork “You Are So Smart.”
