The Burmese have traditionally been known for their refined wood carving skills, displayed on utilitarian items, folk art, furniture, architectural ornamentation and magnificent Buddhist pieces. Since their carving have been collected for decades, Burmese artisans have developed remarkable skills in making new items appear used or antique so buyers should be cautious in their selections.
