Circle

In the Coptic Church, the circle represents the eternal and everlasting love of God that is demonstrated in Christ’s Crucifixion and resurrection, eternity, Christ’s halo, His infinite love, and resurrection. Circles also are aniconic “protective eye” symbols that are believed to imbue the cross with magic powers that can bring blessings and repel evil forces and harm, deflect misfortune and avert the “evil eye.”
