Dharmachakra-Mudra

Dharmachakra (转法轮印 / 轉法輪印) – turning the wheel of the Dharma (Buddhist law, principles or teachings) – also kown as the teaching mudra (hand position) is the most common of the five main mudras in Buddhist art and symbolizes Buddha’s initial sermon at Deer Park in Sarnath as well as teaching the Dharma. Made with the thumb and index finder of both or either hand touching to form a circle representing the Wheel of the Dharma, hands placed near the heart confirming that the Dharma comes directly from the Buddha’s heart.
