Hudoq
Hudoq masks, made by Dayak people in Indonesian Borneo (Kalimantan), represent ancestors and mythical beasts and are used in the annual agricultural festival celebrating the rice harvest. Hudoq refers to the festival, the masks and the pests that infest the rice. Most have separately carved wing-like ears attached by fibers and are often depicted with a triangular nose and gnarled teeth.
