Manis
The word “manis” describes a Balinese mask of a character who is sweet and kind, but there are mask types that express two different personalities. A court minister’s mask (patih) whose face appears moderated, controlled and diplomatic is called patih manis. A second minister might be strong, decisive, bold and even possibly prone to anger expressed having an intense expression and forceful eyes is known as patih keras. Those with a mild character are colored white or other neutral color, and the mask of a forceful minister’s mask is colored red or another bold color.
