    Beautiful wool and natural dye small carpet squares were made for both domestic Chinese use and for export to Tibet. The centered double dorje represents the indestructibility of a diamond and the irresistible force of a thunderbolt. When  two crossed, they symbolize “that which cannot be destroyed, but which destroys all delusion that causes suffering.” With major spiritual significance in Tibetan Buddhism, the dorje  represents absolute stability, the 12 great deeds of Shakyamuni Buddha, compassion and wisdom and dispels evil and guides devotees to Enlightenment. This rug is a  perfect physical and mental support for meditation.
