This striking Barry Brinker necklace features a pendant of black cross shaped pearl encased in a wide silver casing. The rear and tag on the clasp are incised with the iconic BB signature and flame. The fittings and rolo style chain are 950 sterling silver. Although the symbolism of black pearls varies by culture, it generally symbolizes beauty, power, wealth and protection. In this piece it creates a beautiful natural iridescent in the shape of a spiritual cross.
Description
This black pearl necklace is part of the VA Barry Brinker Vintage Collection with pieces made in the early 2000’s when his creations combined 950 silver with antiquities or antiques, unique artifacts, gemstones, pearls and other treasures acquired during his travels. With his unique training in architecture, design and fine art, his jewelry pieces are one-of-a-kind, constructed in his studio in Bali whose craftsmen follow his specific instructions. This necklace pendant is made of a black pearl cross encased in a high silver casing creating an iridescent aura of sanctity. The silver fittings and rolo style chain is made of 950 sterling silver and has the typical flame shaped tag as part of the clasp and is also signed with his incised initials. His current pieces are sold in select establishments such as Neiman Marcus.
