Fleury Cross

A fleury cross is a cross adorned at the ends with flowers, trefoils or fleur-de-lis that often used in heraldry but appears in Ethiopian Crosses. Also called a Floriated Trefoil Cross the end of each limb is splayed out into three pointed lobes representing the trinity. It was originally an artistic variant of the Cross Pattée and dates from the 1300s.
