This stunning necklace has 14 Tibetan turquoise gemstones, 24 red sponge coral beads and a suspended old Thai Buddha stone pendant with gold leaf.

Mined only in certain regions of the Himalayas, genuine Tibetan turquoise is a rare and prized gemstone.  Beads cut in Tibet are generally a higher quality and collectible grade. Tibetans and Nepalese consider it a spiritual and religious possession, the “sky stone” brought from the heavens to earth.  The stone itself has inherent value and power. It can convey knowledge, preserve family wealth and has ritual and medicinal applications. Revered for its beauty, metaphysical, spiritual and powers, no stones are alike. In its pure unpolished form, it is a token of affection that brings happiness and good fortune to its donor and recipient when given with love. When presented by a lover to his beloved, its color remains permanent as long as their affections last.

Tibetans often combine turquoise and coral for aesthetic reasons and for their harmonizing effect on physical, emotional and spiritual aspects of our lives.
