Juglet

A juglet is a small container for liquids that may look like a modern jug but is smaller. Ancient small ones held precious cosmetics, perfumes, oils and ointments and were made with a tight neck to limit the amount and speed at which it poured. Larger ones for water, wine and other liquids for hydration have wider necks and a broader opening and their shape may vary by culture, tradition and the user’s preference. Jugs and juglets are usually made in similar shapes, used as a pouring vessel, outfitted with a handle for easy pouring and have a dispensing lip to prevent spillage.
